CIVIL DEFENCE KILLS BOY OVER FUEL.

It was a disaster for terrified residents of 21 Road in Festac Town, Lagos on Wednesday afternoon as a female Civil Defence operative on the orders of her commander, summarily executed  a boy at the AP filling Station on 21,Road ,FESTAC Town.

The boy was alleged to have bought fuel in a jerry can and was going home when he was accosted by a team of Civil Defence officials who arrested him.

Witnesses said he never resisted arrest, but rather was pleading and explaining to the NSCDC personnel that the fuel was for personal use as he was not a fuel hawker
The witness who pleaded annonymity said the boy, about 18-years-old   had laid down on the road pleading with theNSCDC operatives to allow him go home as he was not a fuel hawker, but had just bought the fuel for personal use.
The witnesses said the Commander of the team who felt that the boy was resisting arrest,ordered a female official to shoot the”Bastard”,and the woman shot him.
On seeing the boy dying on the pool of his own blood, the NSCDC operatives jumped into their  patrol van and sped off.

As at press time, men of Op Mesa and the Nigeria Police led by the FESTAC Police Station Divisional Police Officer(DPO) Mr Monday Agbonika were on ground ,making sure that the angry mob did not take laws into their hands.
The angry sympathisers had attempted to set the filling station and some petrol Tankers ablaze,but were prevented by the security operatives.
A senior Police officer who spoke on the condition of anonymity said the killing of the young boy was unwarranted”Why should they kill the boy.I think ,the Civil Defence corps don’t know when to use fire arms. They don’t even have regulation on fire arms usage”

MEET THE WOMAN WHO FED HER HUSBAND'S REMAINS TO HER DOG!

 Svetlana Batukova, has been arrested  for killing her husband and fed his remains to her Bull Terrier.

The police in Majorca said the 46 year-old will be appearing in court over ‘Hans Henkels’ murder’.

Her husband, Hans, was attacked at their home in Cala Millor which is an east coast resort on the serene holiday island.

Hans died after being stabbed in the assault.

Authorities tsaid, ‘His arms had been cut down to the bone and Batukova’s Staffordshire Bull Terrier fed strips of his flesh’.

Ithas been revealed that the woman is a ‘self-confessed cocaine addict’.

 Batukova didn’t call the police immediately after the attack, waiting several hours to confirm Han’s death before placing the call.

The day before her court appearance, the Russian woman was at the psychiatric unit of a hospital after she had suffered a ‘suspected psychotic episode’ which was presumed to be an after-effect of ‘a drink and drugs binge’.

Hans earlier had surgery on his windpipe and was ‘unable to speak’.

 Investigators in the case opine he may ‘have been drugged before his death before as there were no signs he had defended himself’.

The couple had been living together for about two years and had recently gotten married in January.

 The cocaine-addicted woman – originally from Novosibirsk, Russia’s third largest city – had a cat and a bull terrier which she regularly posted images of on her social media.

 Hans and Batukova regularly had fights which caused the police to visit their home often; prior to the murder last week.

According to their neighbors, ‘the Russian woman had recently offered a man she met in a bar €50,000 to kill her husband’.

While waiting for the ongoing judicial probe into Batukova’s murder charge, she has been remanded in custody.

Radovan Karadzic sentenced to 40 years in prison.

Radovan Karadzic, the former Bosnian-Serb leader, has been found guilty of genocide and crimes against humanity during the war in Bosnia from 1992 to 1995.

Radovan was sentenced to 40 years imprisonment. 

AUSTRALIAN BOY GETS STUCK IN VENDING MACHINE

A boy from Australia's remote far north spent six hours stuck in the first vending machine he had ever seen.

The boy was said to have wanted reach for a pack of biscuit when his arm got stuck in the anti theft mechanism.

He was sedated and distracted with smartphones while emergency crews worked with angle grinders to cut open the machine after which he was taken to hospital in a stable condition.

Robbers invade Osun State.

It was a blood bath as men of the under world stormed one of the commercial banks in Ikirun town in Ifelodun Local Government area of Osun State, with no fewer than four policemen and six civilians feared killed in the operations they carried out.

 A resident of the town who witnessed the incident, described it as “a war.”
Another credible source said that the armed robbers, who invaded the town in about four vehicles, used explosives to break security doors of three commercial banks located in the heart of the town, just as they shot sporadically into the air to create panic among the people.


The Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) of the Osun Police Command, Mrs Folasade Odoro, confirmed the incident, but said only one policeman was killed in the robbery attacks, disclosing that three of the armed robbers were gunned down by the riot policemen during a shootout. She did not speak on the other reported casualties.

Following a research of the mobile phone use by youths in the African continent, a young Nigerian American Ayoola Daramola has come out to develop emojis that better speaks the language of the people.

"We tried to create an African app, that actually has really strong images - this is Disney quality animation here," Ayoola Daramola 

His newly launched line of emojis - which sit in his app, Afroemojis - features men and women dressed in colourful African clothes, and local expressions in pidgin English, such as "Chai!" ("Wow!"), "Correct!" ("Great job!") and "No dulling!" ("Don't be slow!").

According to the US-based Pew Research Center, text messaging remains the most common activity for mobile phone users in Africa, and Mr Daramola says his Afrocentric emojis will fill a gap in the market by allowing users to express themselves using characters they can identify with, and everyday local phrases that mean more to them.

5 Storey Building Collapses in Turkey

Governor says no immediate reports of casualties after building collapses in popular area of Turkey's largest city.

A five-storey building has collapsed in dramatic fashion in the centre of Istanbul, but Turkish authorities say that no one was believed to be trapped under the rubble.

The building collapsed on Friday in a street near Istanbul's pedestrian Istiklal Avenue, a main shopping district in the popular Taksim area.
Istanbul Governor Vasip Sahin told reporters: "According to preliminary inspections there isn't anyone inside."

He added that people near the building realised that it was about to collapse because of the noise and warned people inside.
"Our hope is that there wasn't anyone inside," said the governor.
Local Mayor Ahmet Misbah Demircan said: "People in the car park felt the shaking and they made people vacate the area." He said they had prevented a disaster.

Earlier, private news agency Dogan had said that people were believed to be trapped in the rubble.

The cause of the collapse was not immediately clear.
Pictures posted on social media after the incident showed a large cloud of dust rising from the site.

25 Year Old Man Arrested For Killing Father

A 25 years old man have been arrested by the Nigerian police for killing his father in Akwa Ibom state.

It was gathered that the young man by the name Mfreke Archibong who is said to have returned home from work over heard his father having an argument with the mother and on getting inside the father threw a bottle at him and used a log of wood to hit him and in anger he used the log of wood to hit his father on the head resulting to the death of the father.

WILD ELEPHANT DISTROYS AN INDIAN VILLAGE!

A wild elephant went on a rampage in a village in India's eastern West Bengal state on Wednesday, damaging around 100 structures.

The beast was seen wandering around and knocking over buildings.

The elephant strayed into the village early in the morning and woke up villagers with its roaring.

"The elephant entered from a nearby forest area. It has destroyed many houses and people are scared and helpless," villager Milan Saha told Reuters.

No injuries were reported.

Attacks by elephants have been on the rise in eastern India. Wildlife experts say the destruction of animal habitats in the country is one of the main reasons for the increase in encounters between wild animals and villagers in rural areas of India.

A 32 year old Indian woman checked into a police station after she clutched the genital of her rapist.

Mirror UK reports that the 32-year-old Indian woman said she had repeatedly being raped by her brother-in-law, and on the final occasion, she faked consent, sliced off his genitals with a sickle, which she took with her to the police station.


 The woman is now being held for attempted murder.

Confirming the arrest, the Sidhi SP, Abid Khan, told the press, “This is a rare case and has to be investigated for a proper chargesheet.” And the police added that the woman is ‘mentally unstable’ because she has no regret for what she has done.

Nigerians have been asked to make use of mosquito nets following the presence of zika virus carrying mosquito in the country.

The Minister of Health, Prof. Isaac Adewole, disclosed this on Thursday, during a press briefing in Abuja, where he explained that the mosquitoes were active and flying around.

The Minister added that the Zika-carrying mosquitoes usually bite during the day and early morning.

22 - Year old appointed minister of youth by UAE!!

Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Prime Minister and Vice-President of UAE, on Wednesday appointed Shamma Al Mazrui as the youth minister in the new cabinet.
She will also preside over the Youth National Council.
Shamma is 22 years old and hold a Master’s degree from Oxford University and a Bachelor’s degree from New York University.

Sheikh Mohammed said: “We will give the council prerogatives and we expect true achievements from her and her council.”


“Youth represents some half of our Arab societies, so it is only logical to give them a voice and role in governing the nation.”

Mexico's Topo Chico prison riot sees 50 people dead!

 What started as a late-night fight between leaders of rival gangs spiraled into a massive prison riot in northern Mexico that left dozens dead, officials said Thursday.

The riot killed 52 people inside Topo Chico prison in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon state Gov. Jaime Rodriguez said at a news conference.

Twelve others were injured, including five who are in critical condition, he said.

Video showed flames rising from the prison -- the result Rodriguez said, of inmates setting fires inside.The violent clashes come just one day before Pope Francis arrives in Mexico, a trip that will include a stop at a prison in Ciudad Juarez, a city on the mend after once being known as the murder capital of the world.

Past riots sprang from cartel rivalries

Mexico has seen deadly riots and other prison violence in the past.

At the same prison in Monterrey, three inmates were stabbed to death in February 2012.

That same month, 44 inmates were killed and 30 escaped in a riot at a prison in Apodaca, near Monterrey. Security officials blamed the violence on a fierce rivalry between drug cartels inside that prison.

In 2011, the head of security at the Topo Chico prison was found dead and mutilated. Authorities said that a note, presumably from a drug cartel, was left with the body.

Lawyer Sues Kanu Nwankwo One Billion Naira over Malicious Procecution.

A lawyer and business man by the name of Ayoola Gam-Ikon urged a Lagos high court in Lagos to order the former super eagles captain to pay him the sum One billion Naira following what he termed his malicious prosecution by the police.

Gam-Ikon, claimed he was on March 5, 2013 arraigned on 19 counts of fraud by the police following a complaint against him by Papilo (Kanu)

Gam-Ikon, claims to have lost valuable time and years of his prime life facing trial, and has urged the court to award N1bn damages against the former Arsenal attacker.
