IS OSCARS MAJORLY FOR WHITES?!

News has been making the rounds of some celebrities boycotting the awards!!

The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, which votes on the annual awards, is reportedly currently 94% Caucasian and more than 70% male.
For the second year in a row, all 20 of the nominees in the four main acting categories are white.

Academy President Cheryl Boone Isaacs issued a statement promising fresh blood and a new, more representative, membership on the evening of Martin Luther King Day.
“I’d like to acknowledge the wonderful work of this year’s nominees. While we celebrate their extraordinary achievements, I am both heartbroken and frustrated about the lack of inclusion,” she explained.
“This is a difficult but important conversation, and it’s time for big changes. The Academy is taking dramatic steps to alter the makeup of our membership. In the coming days and weeks we will conduct a review of our membership recruitment in order to bring about much-needed diversity in our 2016 class and beyond.”

Director Spike Lee asked on his Instagram account: “How is it possible for the 2nd consecutive year all 20 contenders in the acting category are all white?”

If you ask me i'd say its the with version of BET AWARDS!!
